Selection Process
| Selection Process | The selection process for ONGC recruitment will be based on GATE 2023 scores, carrying a weightage of 60 marks, qualifications (25 marks for essential qualifications and an additional 5 marks for higher education), and personal interviews, accounting for 15 marks, making a total of 100 marks. Higher qualifications must be completed by 31.07.2023 to be considered for additional marks. For Engineering posts, 20 marks are for essential qualifications, and for Geoscience posts, essential qualifications plus a PhD will merit 25 marks. |

Step 1: At first, candidates required to log on for the official website (@ www.ongcindia.com)
Step 2: On home page, click on “Career” tab and then select the desired post
Step 3: Information Brochure will display on screen, read the instructions carefully and make sure the eligibility conditions and then proceed to click on “Apply online” tab
Step 4: Then, page will direct to the Registration Window, candidates required to click on the link states “Click here for New Registration”
Step 5: Continue to enter the details such as Name, Valid Mobile Number, Email ID and the relevant details in order to complete registration process.
Step 6: Upon successful registration, candidates will receive unique registered ID & Password for their registered Email ID.
Step 7: By using those login credentials, candidates required to login application form portal. Upon the successful login, application form window will display on the screen.
Step 8: Thereafter, proceed to fill up all the necessary details which has been mentioned in ONGC application form. After filling up the required details, upload the scanned images of the photograph along with the signature in a prescribed format.
Step 9: Then, candidates required to pay the application fees according to the category wise and job role. ONGC Application fees varies for each different vacancy/job roles.
Step 10: Upon successful payment, submit the application form and take the print out of same and keep it for reference purpose.
