Job Qualification:
- Assistant Lower Primary School Teacher:
(1) Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% in the subject.
(2) A two-year elementary education diploma.
(3) For Lower Primary, Assam TET or Central TET.
(4) Not Required: Athletic and Cultural Achievements, NCC Certificate.
- Assistant Upper Primary School Teacher:
(1) Senior secondary or higher secondary education (or its equivalent).
(2) A degree of bachelor’s.
(3) A two-year elementary education diploma, a bachelor’s degree in0 education, or both.
(4) For Upper Primary School, the Assam TET or Central TET.
(5) Not Required: NCC Certificate; Athletic & Cultural Accomplishments.
- Additional Qualifications:
Candidates who appear and pass the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) would be eligible to apply, as will those who have completed the AET administered by the Assam Elementary Education Department.
The candidate’s Language-I Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) score must correspond with the school’s instructional medium in order to be considered for admission.
